In 2018 Occurrent Arts teamed up with Wildlife and Momentum Worldwide to create a large format multi-touch video experience for SAP and the NHL. The clients wanted a dynamic experience which would enable fans to explore the data connected with their favorite players.
The lockers and corresponding gear for the San Jose Sharks and New York Rangers were carefully photographed, and we developed a Unity application which pulled from the NHL API to link the touchpoints on the gear to live stats.
Users can explore the team roster, see video highlights, and discover SAP curated insights about the player as they browse through the players’ gear.
The result was a dynamic experience which enabled fans to explore the data connected with their favorite players. The experiences lived for years on concourse 2 at Madison Square Garden in NY and near the front entrance at SAP Center in San Jose.
