With our media project Artshiftr we’re exploring the potential for transforming location photography into different formats to create assets for creators, designers, and decorators. In this post we discuss how we combined cutting-edge AI techniques with our own drone photography to create painterly prints rooted in real landscapes.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if tic-tac-toe had a third dimension? We decided to test the capabilities of two AI code-generation tools, Cursor and OpenAI Codex, by creating a fully functional 3D tic-tac-toe web application without writing a single line of code by hand. The resulting open-source experiment showed us how rapidly and intuitively these AI tools could turn concepts into reality.
As part of our media project, Artshiftr, we've captured a variety of nature timelapse videos from around the world. On a trip to Switzerland we found ourselves missing the essential "shutter release cable" necessary for our motion-slider to speak to our camera so we opted to capture a long video and process it with Touchdesigner instead.
